TOW WAY AUDIO 3K TVI CAMERA
£59.99
Description
✅ What the camera does well — main specs & strengths
-
The camera uses a 3K-resolution sensor with effective resolution ≈ 2960 × 1665. CCTV Express UK+1
-
It supports “Smart Hybrid Light”, meaning it combines IR and white-light illumination to allow night-vision in colour (not just black & white). CCTV Express UK+1
-
It offers two-way audio (built-in mic and speaker), which allows not only recording audio but speaking through the camera — useful for deterrence or communication. CCTV Express UK+1
-
It is weatherproof (IP67-rated), so suitable for outdoor installation — rain and dust should not be a problem. CCTV Express UK+1
-
It uses a 2.8 mm fixed focal lens, enough for general surveillance such as driveways, entrances or small garden/yard areas. CCTV Express UK+1
In short: for an analogue/HD-TVI style security camera, this one gives above-average resolution, good night-vision (colour), weather resistance and audio + two-way communication — which makes it a solid choice for home / small-business outdoor CCTV where you want good coverage without going full-IP.
⚠️ Limitations / Things to check before buying / using
-
The 3K output is in HD-TVI (analogue) format. That means you need a DVR or recorder compatible with TVI (or a “4-in-1” analogue DVR which supports TVI/AHD/CVI/CVBS). If your recorder only supports older analog (CVBS) or doesn’t support 3K/HD-TVI, you’ll either get fallback resolution or no image. CCTV Express UK+1
-
As a fixed-lens camera (2.8 mm), you don’t have zoom or adjustable framing — if you need to monitor a large area or fine detail at distance (license plates, long driveways, etc.), this may be limiting.
-
The frame-rate at 3K seems to be ~20 fps (not 30 fps), which is acceptable for security but not ideal for high-motion scenes. Hilook Security+1
-
As with many analogue cameras, features like advanced analytics (object detection, smart motion detection) are unlikely compared with modern IP/PoE cameras.
🎯 Suitable Use Cases & Who It’s Right For
This camera is a good fit if:
-
You want better-than-basic HD viewing on a TVI-compatible DVR system.
-
You need outdoor surveillance (garden, driveway, perimeter, small parking spots) with protection against weather.
-
You want night-time colour recording (useful to identify clothing colours, surroundings, etc.), not just monochrome IR.
-
You’d appreciate two-way audio — for example, to speak to visitors or deter intruders.
It is less well-suited if you need very high resolution for license-plate recognition at distance, or want smart surveillance features (motion analytics, remote app control, etc.) — then a modern network-IP camera system might be a better long-term solution.
